Top Oricon daily singles chart

Jang Geun Suk and SNSD top Oricon daily singles chart

Kpop artists are proving to be a strong force in the Japanese music market. Jang Geun Suk and SNSD have secured the top two places in today’s Oricon daily singles charts.

Jang Geun Suk’s Japanese debut single “Let me cry” sold 56,923 copies which placed him first. This was above top idol group SNSD, who released their new single “MR. TAXI/ Run Devil Run.” SNSD sold 40,194 copies falling just short of Jang geun Suk at second place. Third place was Kobukuro who sold 16, 788 copies of their new single “Ano taiyo ga kono sekai wo terashi tsuzukeru yoni“. It is quite obvious that both Jang Geun Suk and SNSD have separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

Although this is only the first day of release, it is possible that we can have high expectations that both Jang geun Suk and SNSD are capable for taking the top spot in the Oricon weekly rankings.

Super Junior member Ryeowook is catching attention by revealing photos from his travels.

On the 26th, Ryeowook posted selca pictures from his journey on his Twitter.

He tweeted, “I went to the school where the movie “Secret” (不能說的秘密) was filmed. The students are now having their lessons now. I feel like I am the male lead from the movie now. These pictures were taken by the students there while it was their break time upon my request. ^-^ Thank you.”

In the picture, Ryeowook has his both arms stretched out and looks excited like a child. He is fashioning a blonde hair and black hat, presenting a cute and clean-cut image.

On April 24th, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun updated fans on their recent whereabouts with a photo of himself with his fellow Super Junior-M members in their Taiwanese dorm.

He wrote, “Game-Kyu’s Taiwanese internet cafe is open 24 hours. “ Eunhyuk replied back, “Shall we call it the Taiwanese chain of Shindong’s ‘Dracula‘ internet cafe, or just say it’s Game-Kyu’s Taiwanese 24/hour internet cafe? We play Diablo mostly, and even make you spicy mixed noodles.”

ZE:A’s Dongjun recently posed for a cute picture with child actress Seo Shin Ae.

On April 26th, the idol wrote on his me2day, “Cute brother and sister’s exciting story!! 2011.04.28 the first performance of ‘Aladdin‘ starts!! A fun story with ‘Dong-laddin’~ Coming soon! Maknae line’s power!! Please anticipate ‘Dong-laddin’~ 2 days before the performance!!“.

The picture was taken during a poster photoshoot for ‘Aladdin’, which is also Dongjun’s first musical.

Reflecting over his theatrical project, Dongjun stated, “It’s my first musical so I was very nervous and prepared very hard. I went back to my childhood days by singing, acting, and dancing and [shaped my own] Aladdin. I want to capture Dong-laddin’s charms in a more fun way. Please anticipate my performance.”
